Raised and residing in San Fernando, Jesús Guerrero began playing the guitar at the age of ten, in Jerez de la Frontera, with maestro José Luis Balao. Shortly after he made contact with the world of flamenco at the Venta de Vargas de San Fernando, he began accompanying singers such as Rancapino or Chato de la Isla on occasion. Years later he was the official guitarist of the Camarón de la Isla National Memorial Competition, and began his trajectory as an accompaniment to cante. At the age of nineteen, he participated in the XXII International Flamenco Guitar Contest organized by the Los Cernícalos rock, becoming a finalist. The following year he collaborated in the International Flamenco Festival of Jerez de la Frontera, accompanying the bailaoras Ángeles Gabaldón and Rosario Toledo. At the same time, he collaborated with the pianist Sergio Monroy in several festivals, such as the Jimena Festival.
After graduating in music education teaching, in 2008 he moved to Seville where he works in various tablaos: El Arenal, Los Gallos, or in the Álvarez Quintero Auditorium. That same year he also collaborated in the Seville Flamenco Biennial 2008, in David Morales' show El Indiano, accompanying bailaora Rosario Toledo. In 2009 he composed the music together with the guitarist Manuel Parrilla for the show Escuela de Arte de El Carpeta, with whom he participated in the film Flamenco, flamenco by Carlos Saura. His guitar has been an accomplice in the dance of Farruquito, Andrés Peña and Eva Yerbabuena.
He has accompanied artists such as Miguel Poveda —assiduously in recent years—, Carmen Linares, Marina Heredia, Niña Pastori, Ana Morales Moreno, Joaquín Grilo, Rafael Estévez, Nani Paños, Rafael Campallo, Farruco, La Farruca, Rubén Olmo, Pilar Ogalla , Úrsula López, Choro Molina, Rocío Márquez, Esperanza Fernández or Alba Carmona —her spouse since 2016—. His first album as a soloist was Calma in 2016, a flamenco album, a style from which he starts to integrate the influences that he has assimilated in recent years from other musical currents such as jazz, Brazilian music or root music.
